In addition to her journalism, Wang is deeply committed to civic engagement. As President of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) New York Chapter, she has led high-impact programming around media equity, voter education, and community storytelling. Programmings include Navigating the Arts and Cultural Journalism Landscape, Mental Health May Series with Korean Cultural Center, The 2024 U.S. Elections and Why the Asian-American Electorate Matters at Asia Society, and Apex for Youth X Envi Media Holiday Drive. She has spoken at institutions such as Asia Society, Serica Initiative, and Korean Cultural Center, and she frequently mentors emerging writers navigating careers in advocacy and media.
